During his time with MHI, Mr. Kobayashi rose to General Manager of Machinery in Europe and contributed to the establishment of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor Corporation (MCO). He was reassigned to MCO in 2010 as General Manager of Business Development. He has since held positions as General Manager of Engineering & Design and most recently General Manager of Global Sales and Marketing, based out of Japan.

Mr. Kobayashi brings to MCO-I extensive knowledge and experience in compressor applications and design, which will further contribute to our goal of expanding our footprint in the North and South America compressor markets.

In his inaugural speech to MCO-I’s employees, Mr. Kobayashi affirmed “Building on the experience and knowledge gained during my career at MHI/MCO, I will oversee MCO-I’s transition into the next phase of growth in the Western Hemisphere, making full use of our new state-of-the-art Pearland manufacturing and service center. MCO-I will continue to nurture and grow its legacy as a best-in-class Manufacturer that our Clients in the Americas can rely on for superior turbomachinery products and unmatched technical support”.
